A little thank you ....
During our green schools flag raising ceremony on 18th June 2015 we presented Margaret & Sheila from Cloontuskert Residents Tidy Towns Association with two plum trees for their orchard as a token of our appreciation for all the help and support over the past few years.
Cloontuskert Junior Tidy Towns 2015
The children of Cloontuskert National School have teamed up with the Cloontuskert Residents' Association and Cloontuskert Tidy Towns for a new competition this year. As part of the competition the children will form two teams that will take responsibility for managing, maintaining and planting their side of the Abbey over the coming months. Under the watchful eye of our school caretaker Margaret O'Neill the children will compete against each other for the coveted 1st place price for the best maintained side. As part of the competition each team will be allowed to pick a name for their side of the estate .... will it be 'Springfield' or 'Santiago'. Watch this space for further developments!!
Cloontuskert Tidy Towns
Pupils of Cloontuskert N.S linked up with the Tidy Towns to plant some spring flowers near the cemetery. We look forward to seeing these in bloom in the springtime.
