Congratulations to Gavin Tucker, a past pupil of Cloontuskert NS and Lanesboro Community College who is graduating as a Doctor from Trinity College Dublin aged 21. We are very proud of Gavin and wish him the best in his career!

This week we attended the Green Flag awards ceremony which took place in the Hodson Bay hotel in Athlone. We were very excited and proud to receive our seventh Green Flag, our Global Citizenship, Litter and Waste flag!
A huge thank you to everyone who supported our recent 'Night at the Dogs' in Longford Greyhound Stadium. Special word of thanks to the fundraising committee who worked tirelessly over the last few months to ensure its success. Cloontuskert NS debating team, representing Kilgefin Parish in the Community Games and County Roscommon won the Silver medal in the Community Games Debating final in Dublin last weekend. On the team were - Keisha, Eoin and Éabha. Congratulations all -we are very proud of you!
