The last day of primary school was a day of mixed emotions for our senior pupils who will begin secondary school in September. We wish them well on the next stage of their education and we hope they return to visit Cloontuskert from time to time to share their experiences. Good luck and well done on completing primary school.
Many thanks to all who took part in our recent Golf Classic which took place in Strokestown Golf Club. We were delighted to see past pupils and past staff members taking part and showing their support for the school. Huge congrats to two of our past pupils, Michael O Donnell and Cathal Gunn and their team who won first prize a 4 Ball in Carton House. Also to Margaret Brennan and her team who came 2nd and to Master Henry's team who took 3rd. It was a great day, according to our fabulous team of parents who served up a feast fit for a king, which the golfers were grateful for when they reached the 19th hole. All in all it was great event and many thanks to Mr O Gorman and to all the sponsors who contributed generously to the event. Pictured is the winning team, Seán O Donnell, Michael O Donnell, John Gunn (missing from the photo is Cathal Gunn, past pupil) being presented with first prize a 4 Ball in Carton House Golf Club, by school principal Andrée Gallagher.
Today's the day everyone has been waiting for. We're all off on our school tour for a day of fun water and land activities. And we have the weather too! It's going to be great day.
![]() Last Wednesday was sports day in the school. Everyone had great fun as they went from station to station taking part in all types of fun activities. Later in the day there was great competition among the classes as they took part in the running races. Everyone was awarded a medal for their participation and some were lucky enough to have picked up a trophy for their achievements throughout the year. Well done to all our super sporty pupils and not forgetting Ms Concannon who won the teachers's egg and spoon race. ![]() Many thanks to all who took part in our recent Golf Classic which took place in Strokestown Golf Club. Many thanks once again to everyone who helped to make our Night at the Dogs such a success. To the Greyhound Fundraising Team, led by Martin Tucker thank you for all the hard work. As you can see from the photo we raised an amazing €5,800 for the school.
