We were delighted to welcome Minister for Communications, Climate Change and Action Denis Naughten to our school today. Minister Naughten congratulated all the children and staff for collecting 97kg of batteries as part of the WEEE Ireland Battery Recycle Campaign, Cloontuskert NS collected the most amount of batteries in County Roscommon.

We are thrilled to have collected the most batteries in County Roscommon as part of the WEEE Bettery Challenge. We are very proud of all our children and parents who worked very hard to collect these batteries - well done! We are looking forward to receiving our prize!
The children were very excited to start music lessons with teacher Mick Whelan this week. Mr. Whelan will teach the children music every week. The school has a large selection of instruments including tin whistles, keyboards, piano, drums and bongos. Watch out RTE Orchestra!
The children are delighted to have started back at computer classes. They are learning how to type, and use Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
We are delighted to be taking part in the Aldi Play Rugby Programme. The children from 4th - 6th class will have a weekly coaching session with an IRFU Community Officer. Watch out for some future rugby stars!
