Well done to the Middle and Senior Classes who recently took part in our Science Fair. Every group submitted excellent projects and we all learned a lot. There was a great mix of projects: light, sound, plants, materials, forces and much more. We hope all the parents who came to visit the fair really enjoyed it. Last May we planted three pumpkin plants with the hope that we could watch them grow and be ready for Halloween. Well we've been keeping an eye on them and are delighted to say our pumpkins will be ready for harvesting before we finish for our Halloween Break. Thanks to everyone for looking after them and to Ryan's Grandad for the straw.
Many thanks to our Parents' Committee who created a fantastic colourful float for our pupils for the recent Children's Parade in Lanesboro. The parade was held to open the recent World Angling Championships in Lanesboro. The pupils and parents came out in force and put on a wonderful colourful display, with the theme "Under the Water", in which plenty of fish were seen swimming their way down the streets of Lanesboro and Ballyleague. It was such a wonderful evening for the school community and we even made the front page of the Roscommon Herald. Once again many thanks to all the parents who played a huge part in this event. |
